Why Kruger National Park?

• Experience something different
• International conferencing standards
• A naturally beautiful working environment
• The luxury of a “captive audience”
• Fewer distractions
• Great team-bonding experiences
• Conferencing within the Kruger gives us the opportunity to show off one of our greatest South African assets to international visitors

Loved by locals and internationals alike “The Kruger” is an icon of South Africa which protects over 2 million hectares (20 000 square kilometres) of pristine bushveld. It is one of the best places in Africa to view wildlife in its natural state. The Park’s shear size makes it one of the last great wilderness areas in Southern Africa; its immense diversity of fauna and flora makes it one of the most important conservation areas left on the planet today.

With a rich cultural and environmental history, it is not only a potential world heritage site, it is also a keeper of Southern African myths and legends. Over thousands of years people have lived in what is now known as the Kruger Park. Not much has changed to the Park’s charm over the many years since its inception in 1926. It has, however, embraced the need to keep with the times and this has created a combined level of accessibility and comfort found nowhere else in Africa. It continues to gain popularity with international visitors who come from far and wide to witness its authentic character and to marvel at the variety of wildlife found here.

All in all there are over 500 bird species, 147 species of mammals, and just less than 2 000 plant species recorded. Not to mention the 114 species of reptiles recorded here. In short, the diversity of mammals is greater than in any other African game reserve and includes the notorious “Big Five” (Buffalo, Lion, Elephant, Rhino and the ever elusive Leopard).

Bush Walks

For the adventurous but not necessarily the super fit.

Walking in the African bush is a memorable experience. It is a chance to feel closer to nature, unchanged for millions of years. You may not always see as much as when on a game drive, but this is the time when one learns more about the smaller animals, insects and their environments. You never know what you might bump into – as most of the walking safaris take place in big game areas! This is why the group is escorted by a professional guide who carries a rifle just in case. If you walk quietly and listen to your guide you will love this experience and learn much along the way. Walks are usually done in the morning before it gets too hot and will go at the pace of the slowest walker in the group.

Being based inside the National Park, means that a lot of the activities will take advantage of the scenic beauty and amazing wildlife that exists here. In my opinion, there really is nothing better than heading out on an afternoon game drive or bushwalk after the day’s work is over.

Game Drives

Get to know your colleagues better while spotting game in your open 10- or 20-seater 4x4 vehicles. Then share in your stories around a camp fire afterwards.

Drives are conducted in open 4x4 vehicles with knowledgeable guides who will help you discover the magic of the bush and its wildlife. Morning drives head out early before breakfast, but you’ll have tea, coffee and “rusks” first - a wonderful way to start the day as the sun rises and you explore what was going on in the animal kingdom during the night. Morning drives get back in time for breakfast and will leave you ready to start your day!

Evening drives are a little different. They are also conducted in open 4x4s but what is special is that they are able to stay out after dark. This means you get to share your stories with colleagues as the sun goes down and then continue on your drive with the use of spotlights. A chance to try and spot nocturnal animals and maybe even one of the big cats that sometimes walk on the roads when the rest of the cars have left the Park.

Camps & Accommodation
Camps can accommodate from 10 to 300 delegates or more. We will select a camp that suits your group and will maximize exclusivity and privacy

The Park has camps that vary in size and in facilities on offer. We work with a number of camps that all have good quality conference facilities and equipment. Contact us for info on the camps and we will recommend accommodation options to suit your needs.

The camps we use are ideal because it’s possible for delegates and guests to walk inside the fenced area safely on their own. This means that you can stretch your legs between sessions and maybe even take a stroll around the camp perimeter at the end of a long day.

We utilise camps within the boundaries of the Park and ensure a level of service that is inline with international standards.

Each of the main camps has a swimming pool – this will be especially appreciated in the hot summer months.
